For the second time this postseason, the Milwaukee Brewers are facing elimination, as the Los Angeles Dodgers currently hold a 3-0 series lead going into tonight’s NLCS Game 4.

This puts the Dodgers just one win away from a second consecutive World Series appearance as they attempt to become the first back-to-back World Series champs since the 1998-2000 Yankees.

To keep their season alive and force a Game 5, the Brewers must win tonight. To advance into the World Series, they’ll need to win four straight, a tall order considering it’s only been done one other time in MLB history when the 2004 Boston Red Sox won four straight to eliminate the Yankees in the ALCS.

Dodgers vs. Brewers, game 4: what to know

Last night, the Dodgers won, 3-1, due in part to the bullpen, which collectively allowed zero runs and just one hit following Tyler Glasnow’s 5.2-inning start.

If the Brewers win tonight, Game 5 will take place tomorrow, Oct. 18, at 8 p.m. ET.

Here’s how to watch Game 4 of the NL Championship Series between the Brewers and the Dodgers without cable.

Brewers vs. Dodgers Game 4 start time

First pitch at the Brewers vs. Dodgers game is scheduled for 8:38 p.m. ET tonight, Oct. 17.

How to watch Brewers vs. Dodgers NLCS Game 4 for free

If you don’t have cable, you’ll need a live TV streaming service to stream the NLCS for free. One option we love is DIRECTV, which comes with a five-day free trial and starts at $59.99/month for genre packs, with plenty of subscription options and genre packs that include TBS (we recommend the Sports Genre Pack!).

If you aren’t ready to commit to a full-on subscription, you can try a Sling Orange Day Pass. Priced at $4.99, you’ll get 24 hours of access to all Sling TV Orange has to offer, including TBS. Sling also offers a week-long pass for its Orange plan, which costs $14.99 for seven days of access.

Brewers vs. Dodgers Game 4 starting pitchers

Since he didn’t pitch yesterday, the Brewers will start Jose Quintana tonight, per MLB.com’s Adam McCalvy. Quintana will make his first start since Sept. 14, when he sustained a left calf strain.

Nearly two weeks after his last start, Shohei Ohtani will be on the mound for the Dodgers in tonight’s potential series-ender. In his last start in Game 1 of the NLDS against Philadelphia, Ohtani struck out nine.
