Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayBelieve it or not, Labor Day weekend is one of the most important times for fantasy baseball managers contending for a championship.
Many people are distracted and unlikely to be in tune with what is happening around Major League Baseball.
Take a look at your waiver wire and see if Pirates infielder Jared Triolo is available.
According to the data on Yahoo and ESPN, he is rostered in fewer than 25 percent of leagues and has been a staple in the Pirates lineup since the beginning of August.
Over the past two weeks, Triolo is slashing .425/.521/.700 with two home runs, five RBIs and four stolen bases.
His career numbers have never been anything to get too excited about, but not only is he playing every day, but he also qualifies at every infield position, which means both the corner and middle infield spots as well.
If you play in a league with daily roster moves, he can be a saving grace should your stars get rested before the playoffs.
Or how about White Sox catcher Kyle Teel?
Rostered in fewer than 17 percent of leagues, the 23-year-old, lefty-swinging backstop has two home runs and nine RBIs to go along with his .488 on-base percentage.
At this point of the season, most people just accept whatever production they are getting from their catcher, so long as he remains in the lineup.

But replace a guy such as Shea Langeliers with his .296 OBP and 37 percent strikeout over the past two weeks with Teel, and you’re likely holding steady in the counting stats while giving yourself a huge boost in batting average and on-base work.
Even Harrison Bader, on fewer than 5 percent of rosters, is waking up to help you.
The Phillies are looking to hold tight on their lead in the NL East, so they are riding the hot bat while they can.

Bader has been an everyday player while lefties Brandon Marsh and Max Kepler continuously rotate in and out of the lineup.
The team also is trying to keep veteran Nick Castellanos rested and healthy, so it has been Bader locked in to their outfield.
Over the past two weeks, Bader has been very disciplined at the plate, posting a .468 on-base percentage while contributing in the runs scored department.

With so many distractions this weekend, it is up to you to stay focused on your championship run.
Whether it is the waning days of summer or the excitement of a new football season, you have an opportunity to best your competition just by paying attention.
The names don’t need to be sexy.
They just need to be productive.
