Photo: Progressive Trail DesignIt seems like bike parks are popping up everywhere these days. Most are smaller, municipal parks with a set of jump lines, a skills area, and perhaps a pump track. (These are not to be confused with resort-style bike parks that offer shuttle or uplift service.)
Bike parks are accessible and appeal to a wide range of riders in terms of both age and skill, and compared to trails, they don’t take up as much space. At the same time, the cost of building a quality bike park can equal or even exceed that of building a moderately sized trail network.
Given the number of new parks coming online, we want to know if you’re riding park, trail, or both.
Has your local community recently opened a bike park? Tell us what you think about it in the comments below!
