MMA analyst Din Thomas has been slammed by UFC champion Sean Strickland after his cornering retirement following UFC 330.

At UFC 330 last weekend, Din Thomas was part of the team that cornered Gillian Robertson in her UFC women’s strawweight championship fight against Mackenzie Dern. Unfortunately for Din and company, she wasn’t able to get the job done, with Dern successfully retaining the belt.

In the aftermath of that, there was a lot of criticism directed towards Thomas for deciding to announce his retirement from cornering fighters so publicly on the post-fight show. Many felt as if it was a pretty unprofessional thing to do considering it was so soon after the bout occurred.

In a recent post on social media, Sean Strickland weighed in on the Thomas ordeal and didn’t bite his tongue, as you would expect.

Strickland tears into Thomas for corner retirement

“Din Thomas is a f—ing c—. I’ve had my a– kicked in multiple weight classes through my career and won two titles.

“You’re a d— head. It’s probably better you retire. You’re a s— coach. You only lose when you quit… Din sounds like you’re a f—ing loser.”

Sean also had the following to say to a fan who defended Thomas.

“He’s just a c—… Girl goes out there and tries to do something and you put her down. D— head.”

Given how things played out in the co-main event, it does feel odd that this was the moment Din decided to make this decision. As you can imagine, the criticism has been widespread, and it will be interesting to see how this story unfolds in the days to come.
