Tottenham boss Roberto De Zerbi is likely driving a move for an ex-Everton striker who Cesc Fàbregas wants at Como, according to reports.

Spurs' summer rebuild under De Zerbi took another significant step forward on Friday after the club confirmed the signing of Andy Robertson.

The Scotland captain arrives from Liverpool with a wealth of experience, becoming one of the most high-profile additions of Tottenham's transfer window so far.

Robertson leaves Anfield after a hugely successful spell on Merseyside, having won the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, League Cup, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup during his time with the Reds.

For Spurs, the deal represents far more than simply adding depth.

De Zerbi has made no secret of his desire to add proven leaders to a squad that endured a difficult campaign last season, and Robertson certainly fits that description.

The left-back has been one of the Premier League's most consistent performers over the last decade and arrives with more than 80 Scotland caps to his name too.

His arrival also helps address a position Tottenham were keen to strengthen.

While Destiny Udogie remains a key player for the club, his injury record has been terrible recently, and Robertson's experience/ winning mentality are viewed as valuable assets as Spurs look to climb back towards the upper end of the table.

Robertson joins fellow defensive target Marcos Senesi in what has been an increasingly busy period for Tottenham's recruitment team.

Talks continue over Brighton defender Jan Paul van Hecke, while Man City winger Savinho remains one of the club's leading attacking targets.

The expectation around north London is that more additions will follow before the transfer window closes.

Now, another intriguing name has entered the conversation.

De Zerbi driving Tottenham move for Fiorentina striker Moise Kean

According to reports in Italy, Tottenham are showing interest in Fiorentina striker Moise Kean, with De Zerbi believed to be a major factor behind that interest.

Moise Kean for Everton

Get Football News Italy, citing reports from Firenze Viola, state that De Zerbi is likely driving Tottenham's pursuit of the forward as he looks to add further firepower to his attacking options.

Kean has enjoyed a productive last two seasons with Fiorentina, bagging 25 goals in all competitions in 24/25, and has rebuilt his reputation impressively after a difficult second spell at Juventus.

The Italy international has emerged as one of Serie A's most dangerous forwards, combining pace, physicality and an eye for goal.

Tottenham's interest is understandable.

Although Kean is still only 26, he already possesses significant experience at the highest level. English football supporters will remember his previous spell with Everton after his move from Juventus in 2019.

While that stint did not unfold as planned, he later rediscovered his best form during spells with PSG and back in Italy.

However, Spurs are not alone in their admiration.

The same reports indicate that Como are also interested in the striker, with head coach Fàbregas keen to bring Kean to the ambitious Serie A side.

Como have emerged as one of Italy's most active clubs in the transfer market and continue to attract attention with their ambitious recruitment strategy.

That could create competition for Tottenham should they decide to formalise their interest.

One factor potentially working in Spurs' favour is De Zerbi's involvement.

With Robertson now officially through the door, attention is increasingly turning towards Tottenham's next move.
