Frank Warren revealed that Dana White joined Nick Khan to land the Netflix broadcasting agreement for Tyson Fury against Anthony Joshua, earning them a rightful seat at the table.

Even with a contractual clause originally shutting out White along with TKO, Warren stated that Fury signed off on the arrangement. The promoter welcomed White into the fold, emphasizing that the UFC boss delivered critical business leverage behind the scenes regardless of public debate over his presence.

“Dana and Nick Khan, they went and done the deal with Netflix. So they have to be a part of it,” Warren said to Playbook Boxing. “For me, I have no problem whatsoever. Never had a problem.”

Locking in a global streaming giant represents a massive win for a card loaded with enormous purses. Warren pointed out that Netflix committed serious money, meaning organizers need to work with the platform rather than fight against it.

That broadcaster influence dictated the location. Wembley’s 10:30 p.m. curfew clashed with United States broadcast targets, prompting Queensberry alongside Sela to lock down Cardiff instead. Warren made it clear that Netflix programming needs steered the choice of venue.

Because of this, judging White merely by his podium appearances misses the mark. Delivering Netflix alongside Khan provided the core capital powering the entire event.

Warren stopped short of carving out exact promotional territory, making sure to credit Khan as well while noting Queensberry collaborated with Sela on Cardiff logistics.

Still, his stance makes total sense. White delivered when it counted, so Warren has no interest in boxing him out. Exactly how much sway White wields over the undercard, broadcast production, or general promotion remains to be seen.

Warren’s account gives White a commercial role behind the fight and explains his support for keeping him involved as preparations for the heavyweight showdown continue.
