Head coach Chris Finch says Anthony Edwards and the rest of the Minnesota Timberwolves have helped create a supportive environment around Rudy Gobert.

Gobert has become better at handling difficult moments on the court, while his teammates understand how important the veteran center is to Minnesota’s success.

“All our guys have rallied around Rudy because they understand how important he is to us,” Finch explained.

Finch particularly highlighted Edwards, describing the Timberwolves star as a player who consistently builds confidence in those around him.

“That’s also the beauty of Ant. He’s an encouragement machine. He loves his teammates, gives everyone confidence and it’s genuine.”

Gobert has averaged 12.5 points, 11.7 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks in 905 regular-season games.

He was selected to play in 3 All-Star games, and has won 4 Defensive Player of the Year awards.
