Daniel is an experienced football writer and editor, having worked in the football media industry for over a decade.
After voluntarily writing for Fresh Press for two years, helping to build and establish the Read brand, Daniel started a part-time job with Fresh Press that later turned into a full-time writing and editing role, writing for club-specific pages such as Read Norwich, Read Celtic, Read Liverpool, and Read Arsenal.
Daniel spent just shy of a year writing and editing for Liverpool-based website, Anfield Watch, which included conducting and/or transcribing interviews with Liverpool goalkeeping coach John Achterberg, former Wycombe striker Adebayo Akinfenwa, and journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Since the summer of 2021, Daniel has worked for Snack Media (now Valnet) and has been a contributor to Football FanCast, on a freelance and full-time basis, as a writer and editor.
Daniel is a Norwich City fan and season ticket holder. He has been heard on BBC Norfolk and helped DAZN with research for their commentary due to his knowledge of the club, along with being featured in several local papers across the country, including the Coventry Telegraph and the Liverpool Echo, for Norwich-related content.
Daniel's knowledge extends to Scottish football, having covered Celtic and Rangers for several years. He particularly enjoys producing player analysis and producing transfer content.
Celtic have a big decision to make as they continue to go through the process of deciding who their next permanent manager at Parkhead will be.
Martin O'Neill signed on until the end of the 2025/26 campaign when he replaced Wilfried Nancy in January, and he remains in contention to stay in the role.
However, it was reported earlier this week that Dermot Desmond met with Robbie Keane on Monday to hold talks over a potential move to Glasgow for the out-of-work head coach.
The Irishman left Hungarian side Ferencvaros last month after finishing second in the league, despite winning the domestic cup competition, and that means that he is a free agent this summer.
Keane has won the league title in two of his last three seasons as a manager, once with Ferencvaros and once with Maccabi Tel Aviv, and would arrive at Parkhead as a manager who knows what it takes to win trophies.
Celtic already eyeing star who could be Robbie Keane's first signing
Whilst it is not certain that the Irishman, who beat Rangers in the Europa League in December, will land the job, there is already work going on behind the scenes to improve the squad.
The Scottish Premiership champions are reportedly looking at a player who could arrive at the club as a dream first signing for Keane, should he land the role in the coming days or weeks.
According to Football Insider, Celtic are eyeing up a deal to sign Go Ahead Eagles goalkeeper Jari De Busser in the upcoming summer transfer window.
The report claims that the 26-year-old is set to be available for a fee of £2m, because his contract expires next year, and that means that the Hoops can see a bid accepted for a relatively modest fee.
It adds that the Belgian shot-stopper is also keen to complete a move to Parkhead to compete for the number one shirt, which suggests that personal terms would not be much of an issue in any potential transfer.
Football Insider reveals that De Busser is high up on the shortlist of options to replace Kasper Schmeichel, but it remains to be seen whether or not he will become their number one target.
Celtic's best signing since Nicolas Kuhn
This would be a dream first piece of business for Keane at Parkhead because it would be the club's best signing since they brought Nicolas Kuhn in from Rapid Vienna.
The Hoops only paid a fee of £3m to sign the German forward and he racked up 24 goals and 18 assists in 18 months at the club before his £16.5m move to Como last year.
Celtic hit the jackpot with Kuhn because he made a gigantic impact on the pitch and they made a huge profit on the modest initial fee that they paid for him, and De Busser has the potential to follow in his footsteps.
The Belgian star's form in the Eredivisie this season suggests that he would be a bargain signing for £2m, as he could be a huge upgrade on Viljami Sinisalo between the sticks for Keane, should he land the job.

After coming into the team for Schmeichel, Sinisalo only kept one clean sheet in 12 appearances in the league for the Hoops, conceding 1.59 more goals than expected based on the xG against his goal.
Schmeichel, meanwhile, conceded 2.96 more goals than expected in his 26 appearances in the Premiership, which shows that both of O'Neill's goalkeepers struggled as shot-stoppers in the 2025/26 campaign.
De Busser, however, prevented a staggering ten more goals than expected. No Celtic goalkeeper has prevented more than 0.54 goals since the data started being tracked in the Premiership in the 2021/22 campaign.
This suggests that the Belgian star could be Celtic's best goalkeeper in years and become an incredibly impactful player with his saves, because ten fewer goals conceded across a league season could be very influential to results and win a lot of points for the side.
That is why, for a fee of £2m, De Busser could be the club's best signing since Kuhn as a bargain addition who could be a huge success on the pitch, as well as being a dream first signing for potential new manager Keane.
The Go Ahead Eagles star has the shot-stopping quality to be a huge upgrade on what Celtic had between the sticks this season and could help them to improve their defence, after they conceded a disappointing 41 league goals.
Big upgrade: 3-5-2 manager ready to sign three year contract with Celtic
Celtic held talks with a managerial candidate on Monday and he could be their next Martin O'Neill.
