Paulo Costa has voiced his frustration, taking aim at UFC executive Hunter Campbell for not giving him a ‘regular’ fight.

Having beaten Azamat Murzakanov via TKO at UFC 327 back in April this year, the Brazilian has been raring to get back in the octagon of late.

Growing increasingly frustrated over the promotion not booking him a fight, Costa took to X to hit out at Campbell. Expressing his shock at the alleged ‘unavailability’ of fighters, ‘Borrachinha’ wrote:

Its incredible CRAZY how Hunter won’t give me a regular, standard three -round fight; he insists on keeping it with me. He saying nobody is available till , maybe next year. Can you believe on this bullsh*t? lol. if you’re an LHW in @ufc roaster and want to fight, let’s bring it to him.

He also made it clear in another tweet that he would ‘not take 5 rounds for the price of 3,’ claiming that it would be stupid. Costa wrote:

I’m not going to take 5 rounds for the price of 3. That would be stupid—it’s definitely stupid; anyone who does that is an idiot.

It is worth noting that Costa is currently ranked #4 in the Meta UFC light heavyweight rankings.

Paulo Costa and Magomed Ankalaev Seemingly Agree to fight

Like Paulo Costa, Magomed Ankalaev also expressed his frustration, but claimed that he had been offered to fight the Brazilian ‘3-4 times’, only for the bout to never come to fruition.

Replying to Costa, Ankalaev wrote:

Hunter and Mick offered me this fight 3–4 times. I said yes every time. Three rounds, five rounds—I don’t care. You’re a top contender, I’m #1. It makes sens but we are main event fighter five round makes sense.

Costa replied, agreeing to fight Ankalaev, while adding that it is up to the UFC to make it happen:

I agree with you in everything, now it’s up to @ufc and Hunter pay us accordingly to make that fight happen this year. It can be November or December, it’s up to your schedule and up to ufc do the right thing.
