Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayDuke big man Cameron Boozer arrived at the NBA Draft Combine Wednesday making his case for the top pick, pointing to his feel for the game and competitive instincts as the skills most likely to translate immediately to the professional level.
"I think my mind, for sure," Boozer told reporters when asked what he brings to an NBA team. "My feel for the game is elite. My competitiveness, my will to win, I think those are the biggest things that are going to translate."
Boozer is among four prospects competing for the top selection at next month's draft. The Washington Wizards hold the No. 1 pick, followed by the Utah Jazz at second, the Memphis Grizzlies at third and the Chicago Bulls at fourth.
The first four picks is expected to be some combination of Boozer, AJ Dybantsa, Darryn Peterson and Caleb Wilson. Boozer had the highest PER amongst all NBA draft prospects at 34.7 ahead of Wilson at No. 2. Boozer averaged 22.5 points, 10.2 rebounds and 4.1 assists in his freshman season at Duke.
