Stephen Mervis has been hired by the Chicago Bulls as Senior Vice President of Basketball Operations under new Executive Vice President Bryson Graham.

Mervis was most recently assistant general manager of the Orlando Magic and will slot in as Graham's top lieutenant. Mervis began his career with the Indiana Pacers during the 2013-14 season before joining the Magic in 2014-15.

The Bulls were also interested in hiring Dave Lewin for the job after they were impressed with him during the interview process for the top position that went to Graham.

Chicago will also hire Acie Law as Vice President of Player Personnel. Law and Graham played collegiately together at Texas A&M.
