Brandon Clarke has passed away at the age of 29. A cause of death has not yet been disclosed. LAPD sources confirmed to ABC News that Clarke was found dead from a possible drug overdose Monday in a home located in Los Angeles' San Fernando Valley. Narcotics were found at the scene.

"We are heartbroken by the tragic loss of Brandon Clarke. Brandon was an outstanding teammate and an even better person whose impact on the organization and the greater Memphis community will not be forgotten," said the Grizzlies in a statement. "We express our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones during this difficult time."

"We are devastated to learn of the passing of Brandon Clarke," said Adam Silver. "As one of the longest-tenured members of the Grizzlies, Brandon was a beloved teammate and leader who played the game with enormous passion and grit. Our thoughts and sympathies are with Brandon's family, friends and the Grizzlies organization."

Clarke appeared in 309 games with the Grizzlies since he was drafted out of Gonzaga in 2019.
