Orgo-Life the new way to the future

Canelo Alvarez has never been stopped as a professional but legendary promoter Bob Arum thinks he knows who could change that.

Canelo is widely regarded as one of the greatest boxers of the modern era, and has been involved in a number of massive fights over the last two decades.

The Mexican superstar is a four-weight world champion having reigned from light middleweight to light heavyweight, and he is a two-time undisputed super middleweight champion too.

He lost that crown in September 2025 when he was defeated by Terence Crawford, in what was the third loss of his tenure, having also come up short against Floyd Mayweather and Dmitry Bivol earlier in his career.

None of them were able to stop Canelo though, and the 36-year-old has never been knocked down across his 68 professional fights either, despite sharing the ring with some huge punchers over the years.

Top Rank founder Arum believes that streak is about to end, after he told FightHype that he thinks Canelo will be stopped when he goes up against WBC super-middleweight champion Christian Mbilli in October.

“I look for Mbilli not only to beat Canelo, but to knock him out. He has the punching power to stop him.”

Arum is part of Mbilli’s promotional team, so it is perhaps no surprise to see him backing his man to win in emphatic style, but the 31-year-old does certainly have big power, with 24 of his 29 wins coming by knockout, so Canelo will have to be alert come fight night.
