According to Kalshi, the Miami Heat have overtaken the field to become the leading destination for the 41-year-old superstar.
A major surge on Saturday pushed Miami to 57 percent of the market, fueling speculation about a return to South Beach.
Such a move would reunite James with the Heat while pairing him with newly acquired Giannis Antetokounmpo and franchise cornerstone Bam Adebayo.
The latest shift marks a significant turnaround from earlier this month, when the Cleveland Cavaliers were considered the favorites.
On July 10, Cleveland held nearly 59 percent of the market compared to Miami’s 19.8 percent before the Heat steadily closed the gap and eventually moved into first place.
The growing buzz comes after James hinted at his future during Fanatics Fest in New York.
Appearing on a live episode of his “Mind the Game” podcast with Tyrese Haliburton, the four-time NBA champion urged fans to “follow the clues” about where he will play next.
After ending his eight-year run with the Los Angeles Lakers earlier this summer, James has also been linked to teams such as the Philadelphia 76ers and Golden State Warriors.
However, Miami has now emerged as the betting favorite.
James previously enjoyed the most successful stretch of his career with the Heat, winning back-to-back NBA championships in 2012 and 2013 alongside Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh.
For now, though, his future remains undecided. James recently suggested fans may not have to wait much longer, saying, “I won’t hold you guys up too much longer.”
