Barcelona has added Justin Robinson to their backcourt, signing the American point guard to a contract through June 30, 2028. The 28-year-old arrives after a strong EuroLeague debut season with Paris Basketball, where he established himself as one of the competition’s most productive guards.

Robinson averaged 14.6 points, 4.5 assists and 14.4 PIR in 36 EuroLeague games during the 2025-26 season, helping Paris finish 16th in the standings with a 15-23 record. His season included several standout performances, including a 35-point, 39-PIR game against Olympiacos in November and a 25-point, six-assist performance worth 35 PIR that earned him EuroLeague Round 37 MVP honors.

Barcelona finished the 2025-26 EuroLeague regular season ninth with a 21-17 record, narrowly missing direct playoff qualification before making changes to their roster. The club entered the offseason after a season in which Kevin Punter led the team in scoring at 14.8 points per game, while Will Clyburn averaged 13.8 points and Tornike Shengelia contributed 12.4 points and 4.6 rebounds.

The arrival of Robinson addresses Barcelona’s need for a lead guard following the departures of Tomas Satoransky and Nicolas Laprovittola. Satoransky averaged 7.0 points and 4.2 assists in EuroLeague play, while Laprovittola averaged 8.0 points and 3.9 assists in 20 appearances before leaving the club.

Robinson brings a scoring-oriented style combined with playmaking ability. In addition to his EuroLeague production, he averaged 14.4 points, 6.0 assists and 3.0 rebounds in 29 games with Trapani Shark in Italy during the 2024-25 season, earning November MVP honors and a spot on the league’s All-Star Five.

Before moving to Europe, Robinson spent time in the NBA and G League. He appeared in 43 NBA games across three seasons with the Washington Wizards, Oklahoma City Thunder, Milwaukee Bucks, Sacramento Kings and Detroit Pistons, averaging 2.6 points and 1.1 assists in limited minutes.

The Virginia Tech product also gained European experience with Breogán in the ACB during the 2023-24 season. In nine games, he averaged 9.3 points and 2.4 assists while helping the Galician club secure its place in the Spanish top division.

Barcelona have also added Olivier Nkamhoua this offseason as part of a roster reshaping that followed the departures of head coach Xavi Pascual, Jan Vesely, Clyburn, Satoransky, Laprovittola, Willy Hernangomez, Youssoupha Fall, Miles Norris, Myles Cale and Juani Marcos.
