Bellamy’s Wales assistant Andrew Croft worked with De Zerbi at Brighton and remains the 46-year-old’s route into Tottenham, but the ultimately successful relegation battle of the Premier League club, which went to the final day, has pushed those plans back to later in 2026.
Asked about whether his previously stated desire to visit Spurs and learn from De Zerbi had waned, Bellamy said with a smile: “No.
“They were fighting relegation and it was like, ‘this is not a good time to go into the training ground at this present moment,’ but if they had got safe earlier, I would have definitely looked to go in there.
“It was obviously (decided) last day so I’ll have to revert that and hopefully pre-season if they are UK-based.
“Yeah, it will definitely be on the agenda next (season).”

Tottenham are targeting several Premier League forwards as part of their summer rebuild.
Of course, the immediate priority for Tottenham now is strengthening De Zerbi's squad so that relegation battle remains in history as a one-off.
The Lilywhites have been already secured agreements to sign free agent defenders Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi, while a permanent move for Joao Palhinha is next up on the agenda.
Fabrizio Romano revealed this week they are also eyeing a move for Manchester City winger Savinho, who was a target last summer as well.
And reports in Spain have now revealed another possible signing, this one for a bargain price of just €9m (£8m).
According to Sport Witness, the Spanish press are watching intently as Spurs launch a move for young centre-back Sergi Dominguez.
That is because the 21 year-old, who now plays in Croatia for Dinamo Zagreb, is a graduate from Barcelona's famous La Masia academy, and the La Liga giants will be in line to receive around £2m from a sell-on clause if he is sold to Tottenham this summer.
Dominguez left Catalonia in search of more playing time, and featured 30 times in the Croatian top flight this season, as well as making eight appearances in the Europa League.
The report claims Spurs are willing to bid £8m and an exit from Zagreb is 'virtually certain to happen in the coming weeks'.
