Aston Villa have set their sights on attacking upgrades in the summer transfer window and could yet welcome a Bundesliga star as a result.
Aston Villa targeting Bundesliga forward
The Villans have got an interesting summer ahead of them. Whilst SCR problems remain, their Champions League qualification means that they should be in the market for reinforcements of their own, even if certain big-money sales are needed first.
Of course, one of those big-money sales may well be Morgan Rogers. Recent reports have claimed that Aston Villa are keen to keep hold of the impressive midfielder, but could see their hand forced by an offer which matches their previous sale of Jack Grealish.
Dream Rogers replacement: Aston Villa enter talks to sign £35m attacker
Aston Villa could be about to land a top-level attacker to replace Morgan Rogers this summer.
Although Rogers would be an undeniable blow, it goes without saying that Unai Emery could certainly do with the financial freedom to welcome key upgrades in the coming months.
Just who those reinforcements could be remains the big question. Names like Jonathan Rowe have been mentioned as of late, and he's one that's ready to light up the Premier League at long last. But before him, the focus could turn towards a rapid Bundesliga star.
According to The Athletic, Aston Villa have received the green light to sign Karim Adeyemi from Borussia Dortmund this summer. The exciting forward is open to leaving the German club and has been on the Villans' radar for quite some time.
They're now aware of his position, though it remains to be seen whether that interest will turn into an offer ahead of next season.
Aston Villa should launch Adeyemi offer
In terms of quality, Adeyemi undoubtedly has plenty to offer. Having set a speed of 36.65 km/h, he is one of the quickest players that European football has to offer and knows how to use that speed effectively.
Just this season, the German scored 10 goals and set up another six in all competitions. He was one of the main talismen for Dortmund and is likely to get better and better at just 24 years old.
The winger, who can also lead the line, has earned plenty of praise in the Bundesliga, including from former Germany coach and current Barcelona manager Hansi Flick, who said: "Karim has shown he can be ice-cold in front of goal and that he plays with lots of self-confidence. He's still got lots of work to do, but he does his thing very well."
He's open to the move this summer and Aston Villa should take full advantage by launching an offer to sign the Borussia Dortmund star for Emery.
