Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards appears to be following Luka Doncic’s example when it comes to organizing offseason workouts with teammates.

At the end of July, Doncic invited the entire Los Angeles Lakers roster to Slovenia for a four-day minicamp.

The Lakers guard also offered to cover his teammates’ flights to and from Europe, a move that was viewed as a sign of leadership.

Now Edwards and new Timberwolves teammate LaMelo Ball are doing something similar.

The two have reportedly offered to pay for their teammates’ flights to Paris, where Minnesota plans to hold a team workout.

The trip is designed to help the Timberwolves build chemistry following changes to their roster, including the addition of Ball.

Paris also makes sense because Minnesota center Rudy Gobert spends his offseason there.

Doncic and Edwards have already developed a competitive rivalry on the court, and their offseason plans now share similarities as well.

The difference is that Doncic reportedly covered the Lakers’ travel costs himself, while Edwards is splitting the expense with Ball.
