Orgo-Life the new way to the future

Progress may finally be coming to the Los Angeles Angels organization.

Long-time team owner Arte Moreno reportedly agreed to sell the Angels to Stan Kroenke, who also owns the Los Angeles Rams, Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche and Arsenal. Kroenke has a legacy of building successful teams, something which should give the fanbase reason for hope in the future.

Part of that future may already be in place. Interim general manager John Mozeliak began a rebuilding process in earnest, something that Moreno had long resisted. In doing so, Mozeliak injected desperately needed talent into a farm system that had perpetually ranked among the worst in baseball.

John Mozeliak deserves chance to build Los Angeles Angels into contender

Mozeliak's actions did not appear to be those of an interim general manager. He made moves designed to build the roster to develop a sustainably contending roster. While the Angels 2026 record will suffer due to the talent that has left, the long-term gains may outweigh any victories in a lost season.

The question is whether or not he will get a chance to see his vision through to the end. Mozeliak's contract ends at the end of December, and he has reportedly yet to decide his future. However, Mozeliak has continued revamping the front office, making numerous changes to various areas, particularly the scouting department.

Mozeliak's future may be up to Kroenke. Although he is not expected to assume ownership until the first quarter of 2027, Kroenke's pending arrival will likely factor into the Angels' decisions in the coming months. His first move should be to determine what Mozeliak would want to remain on board as the general manager going forward.
