Dana White has announced Alex Pereira’s next fight on Nina Drama’s KICK stream as promised.
Earlier tonight during UFC 332, White announced that Pereira will be locking horns with Sergei Pavlovich in the co-main event of UFC 335. This numbered event takes place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, on December 12.
The heavyweight contest between Pereira and Pavlovich will be a five-round bout, also revealed by the UFC CEO.
Check out the announcement below:
Pereira vacated his 205-pound strap earlier this year in pursuit of three-division glory. However, his heavyweight debut at UFC Freedom 250 didn’t go as expected, as the Brazilian was knocked out in Round 2 by Ciryl Gane.
Now, at UFC 335 against Sergei Pavlovich, Pereira will not only have a chance to return to the win column but also secure his first victory in his new weight class and put his name back in the title picture.
Check out the announcement below:
Pavlovich, on the other hand, is on a three-fight win streak and in his most recent bout, he knocked out Tallison Teixeira in just 39 seconds.
Alex Pereira reacts after fight announcement
Right after the UFC head honcho announced Alex Pereira’s next fight, “Poatan” posted a promo video to send a message to Sergei Pavlovich. The Brazilian captioned the clip:
