The Washington Wizards offered Russell Westbrook a two-year deal this offseason, sources told Marc Stein of The Stein Line.

Westbrook, who also had an offer from the Kings, announced his retirement last week.

Stein adds that Westbrook either did not agree with the offer itself or the potential role with the Wizards and decided to retire.

The Wizards have shifted their interest to DeMar DeRozan, who is also drawing attention from the Heat and Nuggets.
