Orgo-Life the new way to the future

The Atlanta Braves acquired Joey Bart just over a month ago when Sean Murphy went down with an injury. Now, with Murphy healthy and ready to return, Bart has been traded for the second time this season and goes from one first-place team to another.

Joey Bart is headed to Chicago

According to ESPN's MLB insider Jeff Passan, Bart is being sent from Atlanta to the Chicago White Sox.

Chicago is currently without its star catcher Kyle Teel, as he is dealing with yet another injury this season.

In return, the White Sox are sending back right-handed pitching prospect Duncan Davitt.

White Sox have had an extremely active trade deadline

Bart is one of several moves that the White Sox front office made ahead of the trade deadline, something that it hasn't done in quite some time.

It started over the weekend with the acquisition of right-handed pitcher Luis Castillo. It continued on Monday afternoon with the acquisition of right-handed reliever Huascar Brazoban and outfielder Brentan Doyle.

Can the White Sox hang on to first place?

Chicago has not made the postseason since 2021, which was also the last time it finished above .500.

Now, with a 59-52 record and several competitive moves made, it is clear that the front office believes it is now good enough to finish the season strong and win the AL Central.

What a turnaround it would be to see the White Sox go from 100-plus losses in 2025 to hosting a playoff series in 2026.
