Nottingham Forest failed to score for the second successive Premier League home game, as the Reds drew 0-0 with Tottenham Hotspur at the City Ground yesterday.

Oliver Glasner’s men will feel hard done by to not claim all three points, after Neco Williams has his effort chalked off for an alleged handball on the goal line.

As a result, the Reds have now failed to win any of their first three games of the season, but there are signs of the senior squad adapting to the manager’s 3-4-2-1 system.

Numerous players caught the eye during the stalemate yesterday afternoon, which could see multiple players become key members of Glasner’s side for the foreseeable future.

Even without the ball, the experienced star managed to impress, subsequently making four tackles and three ball recoveries during the scoreless draw.

The 25-year-old featured for 59 minutes of the encounter, but could only complete three passes and achieved a 33% dribble success rate against the Lilywhites.

Both of the stats showcase his struggles in attacking areas, as the opposition often pocketed Ndoye and nullified the threat he posed within the final third.

He also lost 60% of the duels he entered against De Zerbi’s men on Saturday, subsequently being outfought - alongside his inability to provide the goods in attacking areas.

The Swiss star’s inability to create the goods within attacking areas was further demonstrated by his measly tally of just 18 touches of the ball within his 59 minutes on the pitch.

His subsequent tally was nearly two times lower than that of goalkeeper Matz Sels, who registered 32 touches as he managed to keep his first clean sheet of the campaign.

After such a showing, it’s vital the manager shuffles his pack next weekend, drops Ndoye back down to the substitutes bench and allows another first team member to stake his claim.
