South African skipper Wiaan Mulder is not only leading the headlines for his batting excellence, but also impressing with his sharp bowling. On Day 3 of the second Test between Zimbabwe and South Africa, Mulder delivered a scintillating delivery to clean up an opposition batter Sean Williams, leaving fans and commentators in complete awe of his all-round brilliance.

The moment came in the 29th over of the third innings, and it was Mulder once again making the impact. Having already scripted history with the bat, Mulder continued his dream Test by striking with the ball. He delivered a length ball that angled in and skidded through sharply, catching Williams completely off guard. The Zimbabwe batter, who had top-scored in the first innings, couldn’t bring his bat down in time as the delivery crashed into the off stump. Mulder leapt in celebration, pumping his fist in the air — a clear sign that he could do no wrong in this match.

South Africa complete dominant clean sweep over Zimbabwe

The defending World Test champions continued their scintillating run in the longest format of the game. Despite featuring numerous young faces, the Proteas never seemed in trouble as they clean swept the hosts on their home turf. After a convincing win in the first Test, South Africa delivered an even stronger performance, powered by skipper Mulder’s record-breaking unbeaten innings of 367 which led to the Proteas victory by an innings and 236 runs.

Apart from that, there were several key bowling performances that never allowed the Zimbabwean batters to settle. Leading the pack was Corbin Bosch, who claimed a total of five wickets in the match, followed by young sensation Codi Yusuf and Senuran Muthusamy, who picked up four wickets each. South Africa will now officially kick off their WTC cycle in November against a strong Indian team. With a combination of seasoned and young talent in their ranks, the Proteas will look to write a new chapter in their cricketing history.
