Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayRecent revelations regarding Kawhi Leonard's alleged undisclosed business dealings, including a reported sponsorship agreement with Daktronics and an ownership stake in a Rhode Island soccer club, were not new information for the NBA's ongoing investigation, according to sources familiar with the probe.
Investigative journalist Pablo Torre reported last week on his podcast that Leonard allegedly had a lucrative undisclosed sponsorship deal with Daktronics, the company that supplied the video board for the Los Angeles Clippers' Intuit Dome arena. Torre's original reporting in September 2025 first revealed an alleged sponsorship arrangement between Leonard and the now-bankrupt company Aspiration, prompting the NBA to hire Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz to investigate potential salary-cap circumvention by the Clippers.
Sources told The Stein Line that Wachtell's investigation had already been examining both the alleged Daktronics arrangement and Leonard's ties to the Rhode Island soccer club prior to Torre's most recent reporting. The Athletic had also reported in mid-July that NBA investigators were examining a previously unreported endorsement deal involving another company
