The number three machine was sitting on the rear door of the Red Bull KTM trailer all weekend. Prepped, on display, and sadly...we saw the team load Tomac's machine in a van at the end of Saturday. It's destination? The team's shop in Southern California. A little reminder we won't be seeing Eli anytime soon, otherwise the bike wouldn't be heading the opposite direction of the semi. When do we see him next? Final three rounds of Pro Motocross, maybe? Or potentially we don't see Eli until SMX Playoffs.

The things that fans bring to the races to show Mitch Payton always interests us.
The two men we saw talking to Mitch were showing him pictures of their father's moto van and old Huskys that had the full Pro Circuit treatment back in the Husqvarna Anaheim shop days. They had recently restored the van and bikes, so they wanted to show Mitch and talk to him about potentially auctioning them off to support injured riders.
The Coenens showed up in a big way for their first US Pro Motocross race, and their second in the country (the first being MXoN at Ironman last year).
The fans took to Lucas immediately. If you don't follow him in GPs, first off, go watch a race this year. Secondly, if you're a big Instagram person, go follow Lucas. His social is fun and a great follow.
Red Bull / Troy Adamitis (The Great Outdoors fame) were working on a doc for Lucas and Sacha's first round...which should debut on YouTube right before the Southwick round.
Jett Lawrence was chatting it up and congratulating Lucas Coenen post-moto one and moto two. They're one of the few that can understand chasing your dreams from one continent to another, and alongside your brother. It'll be so fun and interesting to see how the dynamic between the Lawrences and Coenens develops as they race each other more and more. Because, clearly, both Lucas and Sacha are proving they will be forces to be reckoned with when they make their full-time move to the US.
A low 100s number is usually reserved for visiting riders from other countries and racing series. The 104 has special meaning, though, as fellow Belgian, Roger DeCoster, used the number during his US debut. Roger's legacy clearly means a lot to the brothers, as their gear over the weekend was also a nod to The Man.
Yes, Lucas and Sacha were on US spec KTMs, with a few tweaks. They utilized their suspension settings from MXGP, with some minor tweaks.
Lucas, by example, was utilizing the outgoing WP works shock, which a few US riders had complained of issues with, but the MXGP side has always been good with.
Lucas Coenen's machine was stationed in Eli's usual spot, as Jade Dungey supported the MXGP points leader in Thunder Valley.

Sacha Coenen was equally impressive. We had the full "Sacha" experience: blistering speed, some falls, some mistakes, but outright he was the fastest rider in the 250 class on his debut in the class.
He's also very, very fun to watch.

The Red Bull KTM truck was a little full with five riders, so Sacha's position was a little different.
In MXGP, the Red Bull KTM squad utilizes Pirelli tires. Just like when Jeffrey Herlings visited Ironman years ago for a Pro Motocross National, he stuck with the brands he used in that series. Meaning we had Pirelli support back at the races again!
Small effort, but effective.
Rafael Coenen, the twins' father, doesn't come from a motocross background, but a sports car racing background. However, racing is racing, and it's clear the impact he's had on his sons' young careers.
It wouldn't be Colorado without a "Schoolie".
Chase Sexton, post-first session on Friday, just a couple hours before the "big one" that took him out the weekend and possibly longer. Sexton is tough as nails, and that was a big one.
Now that's a rare one.

Enzo Temmerman announced post-race that he'll be on a Pro Circuit bike in High Point, but Mitch Payton told us he's actually going to be on the bike for a total of three races, meaning RedBud should be in the cards as well. Enzo seems to be doing a good job of getting Mitch's attention for 2027.

Tip for all you Kawasaki riders, a small piece of clear graphics material can help protect your swingarm from chain slap marks.

This is Little Debbie. Drew Adams made his return at Thunder Valley, but it looks like he'll need a few more weeks to get into the groove of things.
Garrett Marchbanks' KX450SR will probably be the lone machine under the Monster Energy Kawasaki awning for the foreseeable future.
Hard to mess things up with precise instructions like this in place.
With Seven the gear company now out of business, riders like Jeremy Fappani were left looking for new threads.
FXR picked him up for the remainder of 2026. He's quietly having a decent rookie season, building each week.
