San Antonio Spurs big man Victor Wembanyama says the increasing attention surrounding him has become impossible to ignore, but he isn’t letting it affect his mindset.

As one of the NBA’s biggest international stars, Wembanyama acknowledged that both fans and critics have become more invested in everything he does.

“I see it, and I feel it with people around me,” said the center. “Whether it’s fans or interactions, even haters, you know it’s everywhere.

“But mentally, it’s not taking a toll on me, I’m just living my career. I hear it the most with journalists and media. But, yeah, it comes with it. I guess it’s only a good thing.”

Wembanyama has played 3 seasons for the Spurs. He has averaged 23.4 points, 11.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 3.5 blocks in 181 regular-season games.

He was selected to play in 2 All-Star games. He has won the Rookie of the Year award and 1 Defensive Player of the Year award.
