Van Venrooy KTM Racing made a strong impression during the third round of the Dutch Masters of Motocross in Markelo. Aron Katona finished sixth overall with 6-7 moto results. Noel Zanocz also showed strong speed and finished fifth in the first moto. In the second moto, he was once again running inside the top five until he suffered a setback and was forced to retire from the race.

“It was a really solid weekend for me in Markelo. I rode two decent motos and tried to stay as consistent as possible, which was also reflected in the results. The track was very technical, but that actually made it enjoyable for me, which was positive. The team once again did a fantastic job, and a big thanks to them and all the sponsors supporting me on this journey,” said a satisfied Katona after the event.

Zanocz arrived in Markelo highly motivated. During the MXGP break, he had worked hard and was feeling good. After setting the sixth-fastest time in his qualifying group, Zanocz did not get a great start in the opening moto, but immediately found a strong rhythm and gained many positions during the early stages of the race. Midway through the moto, he moved into fifth place and managed to hold the position until the finish.

His start in the second moto was much better, this time placing him inside the top five right away. During the opening laps, he ran in fourth position, briefly dropped back to fifth, but then regained fourth place. Once again, he had a strong rhythm going, but unfortunately suffered a setback that forced him to retire from the race.

In the overall classification, Katona finished sixth, while Zanocz had to settle for twelfth overall due to his DNF in the second moto. Van Venrooy KTM Racing will now prepare for the sixth round of the Motocross World Championship, which will take place next weekend in Lacapelle-Marival.
