Photo: YouTubeTyler Herro would reportedly welcome the opportunity to join the Milwaukee Bucks if the Miami Heat and Bucks reach an agreement involving Giannis Antetokounmpo.
NBA insider Jake Fischer reported that Herro would “love” a trade to Milwaukee, allowing the former Sixth Man of the Year to return to his home state and play for the franchise closest to where he grew up. The possibility comes as Miami has emerged as one of the teams most connected to potential Antetokounmpo trade discussions.
Herro, 26, remains one of Miami’s most valuable trade assets. In 33 games during the 2025-26 season, he averaged 20.5 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.1 assists while shooting 48.0% from the field, 37.8% from three-point range and 91.7% from the free-throw line.
The guard’s scoring profile would fit Milwaukee’s reported need for offensive talent if the Bucks move on from Antetokounmpo. Milwaukee finished the season 32-50 and missed the postseason, creating questions about the franchise’s long-term direction after years built around its two-time MVP.
A reported Miami framework for Antetokounmpo has included Herro, center Kel’el Ware and the No. 13 overall pick, with additional names such as Jaime Jaquez Jr. and Kasparas Jakucionis also discussed. The Bucks’ focus in any potential deal would likely be acquiring multiple young pieces and draft capital rather than a single replacement for Antetokounmpo.
