Tottenham Hotspur are not done yet in the summer transfer window. Despite already spending around £200m, the Lilywhites are looking to use this month to end their spending in impressive fashion.

To that end, the focus seems to have switched from their backline and midfield to their frontline, as Roberto De Zerbi aims to complete his rebuild in North London.

Targets like Cody Gakpo have emerged as a result, but the man who arrives may well be Baris Alper Yilmaz. Galatasaray have gifted the green light and he's now one to watch.

Tottenham's attacking options 26/27

Primary position(s)

Key traits

Dominic Solanke

Centre-forward

Excellent at linking play, pressing defenders and occupying centre-backs. Strong aerially, intelligent movement inside the box and capable of bringing wide players into the game. Particularly effective when asked to lead the press and create space for runners beyond him.

Mathys Tel

Left wing / Striker

Explosive acceleration and powerful ball striking. Likes receiving wide before driving diagonally into central shooting areas. Dangerous in one-v-one situations and offers a genuine goal threat from either flank. Can also deputise through the middle.

Mohammed Kudus

Right wing / No. 10

Elite ball carrier who excels at beating opponents in tight spaces. Combines strength, close control and creativity, regularly progressing attacks through dribbles before creating or finishing chances himself.

Dejan Kulusevski

Right wing / No. 10

Outstanding vision and decision-making. Prefers drifting inside onto his stronger left foot to thread through balls, dictate tempo and combine around the penalty area rather than relying purely on pace.

Xavi Simons

No. 10 / Left wing

Dynamic attacking midfielder who constantly finds pockets between the lines. Offers progressive passing, quick combinations, late runs into the box and carries the ball effectively through midfield.

Wilson Odobert

Left wing / Right wing

Fearless dribbler who attacks defenders aggressively. Uses acceleration and close control to beat full-backs before delivering low crosses or cutting inside to shoot. Particularly useful against deep defensive blocks.

Baris Alper Yilmaz?

Left wing / Right wing / Striker

An explosive athlete who thrives attacking space and carrying the ball over long distances. Combines pace, strength and relentless work rate with intelligent off-ball movement, making him effective both in transition and when pressing high.

Spurs aren't the only side interested in the Galatasaray winger, but what they want, they tend to get this summer.

Tottenham handed green light in Yilmaz race

As reported by Turkish outlet Türkiye and relayed by Sport Witness, Tottenham have been gifted the green light to sign Yilmaz and are now readying an offer as a result.

The Lilywhites have watched on as Everton saw their €35m (£30m) offer rejected and have now been told by Galatasaray that €50m (£43m) will get a deal done for the talented winger.

The Turkish club are open to selling Yilmaz once that figure is met, and rumours that the player himself dreams of joining the Premier League could certainly go a long way for Spurs or, indeed, Everton this summer.
