Tottenham Hotspur "could now accelerate" a move for another Premier League star, following the expected arrivals of Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi.

Tottenham are wasting no time ahead of the summer transfer window, which is set to officially open on June 15th, with Sky Sports revealing they are poised to sign left-back Andy Robertson and centre-back Marcos Senesi.

Both defenders are available on free transfers, with Robertson's Liverpool contract set to expire at the end of June, whereas Senesi is set to leave AFC Bournemouth when his deal comes to an end this summer.

Strengthening the defence could be very important, with Spurs conceding 57 goals in the Premier League during the 2025-26 campaign, the highest number of any team to finish outside the relegation zone.

Roberto De Zerbi has seemingly set out to bring in proven Premier League players, with the manager personally keen on securing the signature of a Manchester City star.

Tottenham planning to sign Man City star after Senesi and Robertson

Taking to X, journalist Sebastien Vidal has revealed Tottenham "could now accelerate" their pursuit of Man City winger Savinho, who is "in the sights of Roberto De Zerbi", and there is a feeling a deal will be possible for around £60m.

De Zerbi is keen to bolster his forward line this summer, and Spurs may now choose to step up their pursuit of the Brazilian, with Senesi and Robertson expected to join.

The north London side are continuing their "rebuild", after a dismal Premier League campaign, which saw them finish in 17th place, narrowly avoiding relegation with a 1-0 victory against Everton on the final day of the season.

Savinho

The 22-year-old has spent two full seasons at City, having arrived from Girona back in 2024, but he struggled to hold down a consistent place in the starting XI during the 2025-26 campaign, with Jeremy Doku making the left-wing spot his own.

However, the Brazilian registered ten assists in 29 Premier League matches during his debut season, which suggests he has the quality to succeed at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, if given regular minutes.

Journalist Vayam Lahoti has also suggested the former Girona man has all the tools to go right to the very top, saying: "Savinho is so, so good to watch. What a sensational winger City have got their hands on, he’ll be a superstar in the years to come. Needs better judgement but he’ll get there, all the right ingredients at his disposal."
