It's been a hectic summer at Tottenham Hotspur and it looks like the chaos is only set to continue.

The Lilywhites have spent over £200m on several arrivals, including Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes, but those arrivals were always unlikely to come without outgoings.

With the World Cup over and Cristian Romero edging closer to a return to domestic action, it looks as though he'll be among the names heading for the exit door.

Tottenham's new back four

Pedro Porro

Fresh from an excellent World Cup with Spain, there's every chance that Porro is the only original man left standing in Spurs' backline and that speaks volumes about his importance. He performed on the biggest stage this summer and will be crucial under Roberto De Zerbi.

Jan Paul van Hecke

One of three new signings at the back, Van Hecke is set to step in and replace Romero. The former Brighton man is similar to the Spurs captain in terms of aggression, but is arguably far better in possession - something De Zerbi will admire.

Marcos Senesi

Similar can be said for Marcos Senesi. The former Bournemouth man is an excellent passer and, combined with Van Hecke, should hand Tottenham a much-improved, much more reliable partnership.

Andy Robertson

Robertson will be just as important on the pitch as he will be in the dressing room. He is a proven winner and that is invaluable for the North London club right now.

Looking at Spurs' impressive business, they should have no problem letting Romero go this summer. If the right offer arrives, then they should happily open the door.

As reported by FCInterNews in Italy and relayed by Sport Witness, Tottenham have green-lit Romero's departure, but are looking for potential suitors to match their €50m (£43m) asking price.

Inter Milan are among those suitors, but are aiming to secure a deal for around €40m (£34m). The Italian giants have told those in North London that they've got 10 days to accept their terms or they're walking away from the deal.

Whether Spurs take that threat seriously and accept a cut-price offer to sell their defender remains to be seen. For now, reports suggest they've named their price and are ready to sell as soon as that is matched.

Tottenham ready to intensify move for Antonio Nusa

Romero's departure would pave the way for more arrivals at Tottenham, and that's a boost for Antonio Nusa. The Lilywhites are reportedly set to intensify their pursuit of the RB Leipzig wingers, who was among the best dribblers in the Bundesliga last season.

Nusa just impressed with Norway at the World Cup, scoring an excellent goal against Ivory Coast, and would be an excellent alternative to Manchester City's Savinho.
