Tom is a football journalist with five years of experience. He has been featured in the Non-League Paper, Crawley Observer, Sussex Express and The RedmenTV - producing features, news and conducting interviews.

For Football FanCast, Tom has sat down with a number of names from the industry, including Ally McCoist, Philippe Senderos and Chris Waddle. Elsewhere, he has covered the National League South final, the Formula E London Prix, Crawley Town and Brighton’s U21s.

Tom enjoys writing features about teams in the Football League and Premier League, whilst also receiving the opportunity to conduct interviews on behalf of FFC.

Having written for The RedmenTV, he is particularly an expert on all things Liverpool.

For all the good work that Tottenham Hotspur have completed so far this summer, they're still after a striker.

Names like Eli Junior Kroupi have threatened to steal the headlines on that front, as have Nicolas Jackson, but it could actually be an ex-Arsenal man who solves their problem.

After an impressive World Cup, albeit one which was also stained by FIFA's decision to scrap his red card in the last 16, the AS Monaco forward is actively assessing his options. And one of those options is a move back to North London.

Spurs would be signing a player at the peak of his powers in Balogun. Last season was his best yet in a Monaco shirt, as he reached 19 goals in all competitions before following that up with three goals at the World Cup.

At 25 years old, he could come back to haunt Arsenal in the most devastating fashion by joining their North London rivals. Having already signed the likes of Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes too, adding Balogun would complete Tottenham's window in impressive fashion.

Tottenham offered Folarin Balogun in agent talks

Folarin Balogun USA

According to The Sun, Tottenham have been offered the chance to sign Balogun after direct talks with his representatives. The American striker is available for a competitive fee and those in North London are now well aware of that.

Whether that 'competitive' fee is within the price that Spurs are willing to pay is the big question. Alas, they've already shown little hesitation when it comes to spending big this summer and it's no secret that they need a striker.

Balogun, a 25-year-old option who just scored 19 goals in all competitions and been described as "amazing" by USA boss Mauricio Pochettino, should instantly sit among Spurs' priority options.

It's not just Balogun who finds himself on Tottenham's radar. If it's not an ex-Arsenal man then it may be a current Chelsea man who arrives this summer. Spurs have set their sights on Jackson and could hijack Aston Villa's move for the forward.

Chelsea are looking to sell at least one of their strikers this summer and Jackson is a strong candidate to leave. At £65m, though, the deal won't exactly come cheap.

It's why Aston Villa have hesitated to seal their deal and why Spurs could take full advantage to spend big yet again in the transfer window.
