Tom Dundon defended the Portland Trail Blazers’ decision to lay off 70 employees, explaining that he believes the organization had become overcrowded and inefficient prior to his arrival.
The new majority owner said his approach is centered around operating the franchise with the same business principles he applies elsewhere.
“People are happier when they’re busy and productive. And more people just creates more problems, usually. I think Portland just had too many people… The business I’m going to run like you run every other business.”
