The Detroit Tigers are in a good position to make a push for the postseason as they have the second-easiest remaining schedule. 

While their 44-52 record doesn't look playoff-worthy, they came into the All-Star break on a hot streak, going 22-14 since June 1, which is a significant improvement from their 6-22 record in May. In addition, they are also only 3.5 games back from an AL wild-card spot. 

Their upcoming schedule will consist of matchups within the AL Central, with a combined opponents' winning percentage of around .489. But their performance will also play a role in whether they make a late playoff push or resort to being sellers at the Aug. 3 trade deadline. 

Their soft schedule will include upcoming advantageous pairings such as the Chicago White Sox, Athletics, Los Angeles Angels and the Baltimore Orioles.

Tigers have the chance to dominate weaker opponents with the upcoming schedule

The Tigers currently sit 6.5 games back of the White Sox and Guardians, who are tied for first in the AL Central. Their post-break schedule from July 17-22 will consist of three games against the Angels and three games against the Chicago Cubs. 

The Angels and Cubs are two non-division opponents. The Tigers will start their series against the Angels on Friday, who have one of the worst records in the AL (38-59). The Tigers will have two of their top starters matched up against them with Tarik Skubal and Casey Mize. They will then face the Cubs at Wrigley Field, whose performance has been inconsistent, giving them a good chance to take the series. 

The Tigers will then have a seven-game homestand at Comerica Park from July 23 to July 29, facing the Kansas City Royals and Baltimore Orioles. Their four games against the Royals will be a significant division matchup. The Royals sit in last place in the AL Central, and snagging a series win against them would be vital. They will then take on the Orioles with a three-game stretch, which will be a huge test as they are both battling for AL wild-card spots. 

When they hit August, they will face the West Coast squads with the Athletics, Mariners and Giants, who are easier matchups that will put them in line for a potential road series dominance. The Tigers will then face the division-rival White Sox in mid-August for three games and mid-September for four games. Their last six games will be at home facing the Nationals and Pirates, who are out of a playoff spot.
