The New York Yankees have had to survive most of the season without Aaron Judge. If they’re going to make any noise in October, it looks like they’re going to have to continue to. 

Judge missed 99 days with a rib injury he suffered in May and after just seven games back, the three-time MVP is back on the injured list with a calf strain and it sounds like the injury will keep him out of their looming Wild Card series against the Boston Red Sox. 

Missing a player of Judge’s caliber is a huge loss for any team, but could especially be a problem for a lefty-heavy New York Yankees lineup against Boston’s stable of Southpaw starting pitchers like Sonny Gray, Ranger Suarez and Peyton Tolle. If they are going to get through that three-game set, it will likely be because veteran Paul Goldschmidt played a large role. Goldy has played more of a bench/lefty-killer role for the Yankees in his age-38 season, but is still hitting .309 with 11 home runs and 24 RBI in 152 at-bats. 

Which brings us to today’s quiz. Goldschmidt himself is a former MVP, winning the award in the National League with the St. Louis Cardinals in 2022. With that being said, can you name every N.L. MVP?
