The Yankees may be hours away from another early October exit.
Hope may be hard to find Wednesday night in The Bronx, where the Yankees return for Game 3 of the ALDS against the Rays, looking to avoid a humiliating season-ending sweep at home.
Without Aaron Judge, the Yankees’ offense has been invisible against the top-seeded Rays. The team’s only two runs in the first two games of the series came via Ben Rice’s solo home runs.
The defense remains a running joke, committing four errors in the Game 2 loss.
