In a major step toward advancing global coaching education, a distinguished team of Coach Tutors have been confirmed to lead on the delivery of Level 1 and Level 2 coaching courses around the world over the coming years. The courses combine online modules in person training, allowing for flexible and impactful learning experiences that accommodate different needs and contexts.

These tutors, carefully selected for their experience, expertise, and passion for coach development, represent a diverse and international group of professionals dedicated to raising coaching standards across all levels. With a strong emphasis on practical learning, inclusive pedagogy, and international collaboration, this new team will play a pivotal role in equipping the next generation of coaches with the skills, knowledge, and values essential to succeed in the modern sporting landscape.

The global reach of this initiative reflects World ParaVolley’s commitment to making high-quality coach education accessible to all, regardless of geography.  Coaches from across the globe are signing up to the new hybrid Level 1 and Level 2 courses and working through the e-learning (Part A) around their other commitments.  While practical (Part B) courses, led by these Coach Tutors, are being organised strategically around the zones to enable coaches to complete the qualifications.  Starting in 2026 will be the WPV Mentoring Programme (“Level 3”), where qualified level 2 coaches can apply for a year round mentorship scheme which will also be led by these Coach Tutors.  This overall approach will ensure that coaches in both established and emerging regions have access to consistent, high-impact learning opportunities.

“We are thrilled to welcome this exceptional team of Coach Tutors,” said Matt Rogers, Coaching Team Leader. “Their collective experience spans grassroots to elite coaching, and they bring a wealth of knowledge that will inspire and elevate coaching communities worldwide.”

Each tutor will be part of an ongoing training program, led by Peter Karreman, to ensure alignment with the latest standards and methodologies in coach education. They will also contribute to the ongoing development of course content, bringing regional relevance and lived expertise to the curriculum.
