After being waived by the Charlotte Hornets prior to the season opener, Spencer Dinwiddie has decided to take his talents to the EuroLeague.

The veteran guard signed with FC Bayern Munich as it was his first overseas contract and announced that the agreement does not include an NBA exit clause for the 2025-2026 season, per Donatas Urbonas of BasketNews.

As Dinwiddie finishes his 11th season in the NBA, he has established a high value overseas, along with his skill set that allows him to score and his size, which enables him to be a two-way guard.

“Spencer is an electric player, he can score and create for others, and he had great years in the NBA,” coach Gordon Herbert said Thursday, per BasketNews. “With his size, he can play at the two, one, and three positions, as well as being versatile in defense.

Aside from his physical abilities, they have also seen his basketball IQ, which involves making good decisions down the floor.

“This is, of course, his first stop in the EuroLeague and FIBA basketball, but he’s also a very intelligent player with a high basketball IQ and a smart personality. It’s great that we’re bringing this high-profile player to Munich.”

The 6-foot-5 playmaker is expected in Munich this weekend and will undergo medical tests.

Dinwiddie last played for the Dallas Mavericks averaging 11 points, 2.6 boards, and 4.4 assists per game while also with 13 points, 5.1 assists, and 3 rebounds in his career average.
