The Philadelphia 76ers are converting center Tacko Fall to a two-way contract. Fall had been in camp with the Sixers on an Exhibit 10 contract. Fall has one season left of two-way eligibility.

By converting Fall to a two-way deal, Philadelphia will have some additional depth behind Joel Embiid at the center position. The 76ers had been counting on Ariel Hukporti to serve as one of Embiid's backups, but Hukporti tore his Achilles during the preseason. In addition, reserve center Adem Bona only recently returned to practice after suffering a foot injury during the offseason.

Fall has previously played in the NBA for the Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers. The 7-foot-6 center spent the last four seasons playing for teams in China and Australia. Last season, Fall appeared in 40 games for the Ningbo Rockets and averaged 10.8 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game.
