The Royals announced this afternoon that they’ve placed right-hander Luinder Avila on the 15-day injured list with right forearm tightness. They’ve also selected the contract of left-hander Aaron Bummer from Triple-A Omaha. Kansas City had an open 40-man roster spot, so no additional move is needed to accommodate Bummer there. Meanwhile, outfielder Kyle Isbel has concluded his rehab assignment, with the team reinstating him from the injured list.
