Ronda Rousey is ready for her MMA return.

Rousey is set to return to the Octagon on Saturday in the main event of MVP’s first MMA event on Netflix. The former UFC champion will take on Gina Carano, and heading into the bout, Rousey is a -590 favorite while Carano is a +390 underdog on FanDuel.

Rousey and Carano were two of the biggest names in the sport, and since both left MMA, they have both become mainstream stars. Yet, both wanted to fight again, and it was always going to be against each other, as Rousey said Carano is her dream fight.

“I’m definitely loving it more than ever before,” Rousey said on The Pat McAfee Show. “There’s definitely been people trying to convince me to continue because there’s a lot of money to be made, but I feel like this is the absolute peak for me. This is my dream fight. This is the way that I always wanted to end it and go out.”

Although Ronda Rousey hasn’t fought since December 2016, she believes the time off has actually helped her.

Ronda Rousey claims she’s never felt better ahead of return

Rousey believes she’s feeling better than she ever did during her career, and she’s confident that will show in her performance on Saturday.

“I’ve been training for the last year and a half, basically from six weeks after I had my last baby. As soon as I was cleared to go, I’ve been training,” Rousey said. “It’s actually felt incredible, this is what my body is meant to do. I’ve been an athlete since I was six years old, so being sedentary is almost worse for me. So, I’ve never felt healthier, never felt better.”

Rousey ended her MMA career on a two-fight losing skid losing by knockout to Amanda Nunes and Holly Holm. She’s the former UFC women’s bantamweight champion.
