Robert Whittaker finally managed to snap his two-fight losing skid by stopping Nikita Krylov at UFC 329.
In his light heavyweight debut at UFC 329, the former middleweight champion did not get off to a strong start. He was clearly outwrestled in the first frame.
However, in the second round, Robert Whittaker turned the tide in his favor. The Aussie took control of the fight with sharp jabs and crisp one-two combinations. Once he found his rhythm, range, and speed, he stayed on the front foot to dismantle “The Miner.”
In the third round, the same pattern continued. “The Reaper” overwhelmed his opponent with sniper-like precision and finally landed a crushing right hand that badly wobbled Krylov, seemingly breaking the latter’s jaw, after which the Russian fighter was forced to quit.
Official decision: Robert Whittaker defeats Nikita Krylov by TKO: Round 3 (1:01) at UFC 329.
