Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayThe Memphis Grizzlies aren't expected to entertain trading Ja Morant just yet. But if they do, rival front office executives will be watching to see if Jaren Jackson Jr. becomes available if Memphis trades Morant.
Jackson workout a renegotiation-and-extension deal with the Grizzlies this past offseason. That has Jackson tied to Memphis through 2029-30 at $240 million. If the Grizzlies trade Morant, it could make sense to move Jackson and to kick off a full rebuild. Multiple teams would be expected to show interest if Jackson was made available.
If Memphis were to trade Morant and Jackson, they could pivot to building a younger core featuring Cedric Coward, Zach Edey and Jaylen Wells. The Grizzlies acquired several first-round picks when they traded Desmond Bane, and would presumably add more in deals for Morant and Jackson.
