Orgo-Life the new way to the future

Barring a shocking turn of events, the Boston Red Sox will be sellers at the Aug. 3 trade deadline.

Parting ways with Alex Cora didn't do much to straighten the course of the ship, and they're sitting on a 33-46 record.

As such, it's not much of a surprise to hear that multiple teams might be keeping an eye on star closer Aroldis Chapman.

However, getting him won't be easy or cheap. According to Mass Live's Chris Cotillo, the Red Sox could receive a strong return for the flame-throwing veteran.

The Red Sox could get multiple prospects for Aroldis Chapman

"The Cuba native is believed to be the best reliever available and one veteran scout said this week that he expects the Red Sox to be able to get 'two prospects, including a top-100 type and another piece' in a deal for him," Cotillo wrote.

Chapman has turned back the clock this season, posting a 1.99 ERA with 29 strikeouts in 22.2 innings of work, according to Baseball Reference.

He hasn't been as sharp in his past couple of outings, including a loss to the Toronto Blue Jays. Still, he's the best closer who might potentially become available at the deadline.

There was even some chatter about a potential return to the New York Yankees, though he would want them to apologize to make amends in their broken relationship.

Whatever the case, barring a shocking late-season turnaround, the future Hall of Famer won't finish the season at Fenway Park.
