The long-awaited trade between the LA Clippers and Toronto Raptors is finally moving forward after both teams gave their approval to complete the deal.

Kawhi Leonard will return to Toronto, while the Clippers will receive Brandon Ingram, Gradey Dick, two unprotected first-round picks, a first-round pick swap and two second-round selections, according to ESPN sources.

The framework of the blockbuster trade had originally been agreed upon on June 30. However, the transaction was put on hold while the NBA conducted its investigation into the Clippers.

With the league’s process now concluded, Los Angeles spent the past 13 days evaluating the consequences of the punishment and handling the necessary internal matters before giving its final approval Monday.

Both franchises are now preparing to schedule the official trade call, which will allow the transaction to be processed.

The move sends Leonard back to the Raptors while giving the Clippers two players and a significant collection of future draft assets in return.
