Daniel is an experienced football writer and editor, having worked in the football media industry for over a decade.
After voluntarily writing for Fresh Press for two years, helping to build and establish the Read brand, Daniel started a part-time job with Fresh Press that later turned into a full-time writing and editing role, writing for club-specific pages such as Read Norwich, Read Celtic, Read Liverpool, and Read Arsenal.
Daniel spent just shy of a year writing and editing for Liverpool-based website, Anfield Watch, which included conducting and/or transcribing interviews with Liverpool goalkeeping coach John Achterberg, former Wycombe striker Adebayo Akinfenwa, and journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Since the summer of 2021, Daniel has worked for Snack Media (now Valnet) and has been a contributor to Football FanCast, on a freelance and full-time basis, as a writer and editor.
Daniel is a Norwich City fan and season ticket holder. He has been heard on BBC Norfolk and helped DAZN with research for their commentary due to his knowledge of the club, along with being featured in several local papers across the country, including the Coventry Telegraph and the Liverpool Echo, for Norwich-related content.
Daniel's knowledge extends to Scottish football, having covered Celtic and Rangers for several years. He particularly enjoys producing player analysis and producing transfer content.
Any Glasgow Rangers supporters hoping that the club are going to sack Danny Rohl will be disappointed by chairman Andrew Cavenagh's latest comments.
After the 5-2 win over Falkirk at the end of the Scottish Premiership season, the Ibrox chief confirmed that the German head coach will remain in charge heading into next season.
Speaking to the club's official website, Cavenagh said: “Danny is our coach, we think that Danny gives us the best opportunity to win the league next year.
“We think there are two really important things that he needs, one is a pre-season and the most important one is a revamped squad. I don't love the word backed, I would say that we recognise that the squad needs significant change, so we intend to do that."
There had reportedly been whispers behind the scenes about a move to bring Steven Gerrard back to Ibrox, but Rohl has now been publicly backed by the board.
Why Rangers may still need to replace Danny Rohl this summer
These comments from Cavenagh suggest that the former Sheffield Wednesday manager will not be sacked by the Gers, but that does not mean that he will not move on from Glasgow.
Earlier this month, it was reported that Bundesliga side Wolfsburg are eyeing up Rohl to replace 61-year-old Dieter Hecking at the end of the season.
The German side play 2. Bundesliga team Paderborn in the two-legged play-off to retain their top-flight status this month, and, in theory, they could make a move for the Rangers boss if they beat the second division outfit.
Rohl, who struggled against the top teams in the Premiership this season, would have the chance to go back to Germany and be closer to home, which could be appealing.
Whilst it is dependent on several dominoes falling, there is still a chance that the club have to find a replacement for the German boss this summer.
If the Gers do need to replace Rohl in the coming months, there is a free agent head coach who could arrive at Ibrox as their new version of Gerrard next season.
New Steven Gerrard: Manager Rangers must appoint to replace Danny Rohl
Part of the English tactician's charm during his spell in charge in Glasgow was that he was a highly-respected figure in the game, due to being a Liverpool and England legend, and he commanded respect from the players.
He was the figurehead of the club, a leader, and Gerrard created a team of leaders that ultimately won the 2020/21 Premiership before his move to Aston Villa.
Now, Gennaro Gattuso could arrive at Ibrox with a similar presence in the dugout, both because of his managerial and playing career, which included playing 48 games for Rangers and 468 times for AC Milan.

In his managerial career, the former Italy international has managed some huge European clubs, including Milan and Marseille, and coached his national team.
The 48-year-old boss, who typically plays a 4-2-3-1 formation, was sacked by Italy after just eight games in charge, as they failed to qualify for the World Cup, but former Liverpool forward Fabio Borini jumped to his defence and claimed that the issues were above his head.
Outside of his short time in charge of his nation, the former Rangers midfielder has shown that he can coach teams fighting at the top end of the table, only finishing below ninth in one of his last seven seasons as a manager.
Gattuso was a fiery player who loved to bite into challenges and his personality as a manager is not much different. French midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko even described him as a "warrior-type manager" during their time together at Milan.
This suggests that he would command respect and get players fighting for him, which is exactly what Rangers need after Emmanuel Fernandez recently claimed that the team possibly lacked "fight" in the title race.
Gattuso would arrive at Ibrox as a presence, as Gerrard did, and would get the team pulling in the same direction to push for a title, which is why he could be an interesting option to replace Rohl if the Gers have to make a change in the dugout.
