Orlando was hoping to see growth from Penda heading into his second NBA season. Now, the big man is likely to be out for several weeks.

The Magic are also watching a shoulder injury that forced Franz Wagner to leave Friday's game early. Anthony Black and Jonathan Isaac are also working their way back from preseason injuries and their status for the season opener is unknown at this point.
