American tech billionaire Nikesh Arora is in discussions to buy the London team in the new NBA Europe league, sources told The Athletic.

Arora is reportedly willing to purchase the team for over $1 billion.

The 58-year-old is the CEO of Palo Alto Networks, a security firm located in New York City.

Arora lead Cricket Investor Holdings Limited to the acquisition of 49% of the London Spirit cricket franchise last year for over $195 million.

The NBA has targeted 2027 for the start of the new league, which will feature 16 teams.
