The NBA has confirmed they are "continuing to look into" the four-year, $64 million contract Gary Trent Jr. signed with the Milwaukee Bucks this offseason. Trent's deal follows two successive seasons playing for the Bucks at the veteran's minimum. The Bucks were able to offer Trent a raise after gaining his early Bird rights.

Trent averaged 8.1 points on 36.0 percent three-point shooting across 65 games last season.

Multiple NBA reporters have indicated that they had heard for weeks Trent was in line for a substantial pay raise in re-signing with the Bucks as a free agent.

ESPN's Shams Charania has indicated that Trent received interest from at least one other team on a sign-and-trade scenario.
